The FjordFahrTeam (FFT) was founded in November 2008 in Ober-Ostern/Odenwald, Hesse.

At that time the management of the EQUITANA asked the German Fjord Horse Association (IGF e.V.) whether it would be possible to present a show element with Fjord horses at their 2009 horse fair. The FF-Team was thrilled .

12 drivers with their 24 horses, spread all over Germany, met for the first training on a cold winter weekend in Ober-Ostern. They all were willing to take the challenge for the project "Fjord driven quadrille". The FFT consists of a bunch of recreational horse people who have a passion for the Fjord Horse.

Under the expert training of Wilhelm Wörner an exceptional "drivathon" started.

Until the opening of EQUITANA we met 5 times in wind and rain and freezing cold weather on the grounds of family Lang, member of the team, to practice. After two times of screening by the EQUITANA team, it became clear that we would be a part of their great evening gala, the HopTopShow!

In March several convoys from all over Germany took the (long) drive to Essen. "It's taking part that counts", we said back then. 13 exciting days laid before us, which should become an once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Well, we took part but we wouldn't have dreamed of the overwhelming response we got from the audience, the exhibitors and the EQUITANA management.

EQUITANA became FJORTANA.

Since then we have performed several times, most recently at the stallion parade at the Hessian State Stud Dillenburg.

The FFT exists just for the fun and joy of (Fjord) horse driving. We love to spread this fun and joy way of life, which we do due to our beautiful horses and we do this with pride and commitment.
